ok, so, tuesday I meet with my new employer, I imagine to negotiate pay rate.

soon, after 5 years of un- and under-employment, I will retake my place amongst the gainfully employed.

I hear that in wage negotiations, the inference that you just might plunder his village if you don't get the salary you want helps move things along.
