she got to go surrounded by love ones, and without pain.. I has made me think of how sad it is that humans can't always pass away like this.

She was an old kitty that led an awesome life up until about a week ago. Surrounded by love and comfort..

Thanks again for the reply my friend. Peace and low stress..

I'm sorry you lost your Bella. I remember the heartbreak well when I lost my Dalmatian.

I got him as a kitten shortly before putting down his 16 year old predecessor (it was inevitable). People who don't like pets spare themselves from going through the separation, but they are missing so much. Pets are family members.

Such a pretty kitty! Hugs to you and your family. I like to think that Bella is whooping it up with Vito in the afterlife.

i'm sorry for the loss of your friend. it hurts us to do it, but we do it because we love them.

and, yes, it is a shame we as humans don't have the same option.

I feel a little silly being so bummed out when others are hurting so much.

There is an awful lot of personality and unconditional love in those furry little bodies. They gift us with so much, it is only right that we let them go without pain and suffering when their time comes. Evil as Tillie(you bitch) was, I still miss that cat--and she passed from this world almost 15 years ago. Nothing ever replaces them, but it does seem that the next one helps fill that void a bit while bringing new joys to us.

ChaucerDCat and I both send our love to you.

She was a lap sitting lover till the very end. We knew it was over when she stopped purring every time we pet her, but she died at home, peacefully fading from this plane of existence.

And yes, they are family members: I've had dogs and cats who've been more caring than some of my human relatives! So anyone who trivializes such a painful loss with comments like: "It's just an animal" is not worth engaging with on any level!

Hugs to you, MDMC. Glad Bella is beyond suffering, just like my Dark Matter. Hope they're playing together in a field filled with catnip.
