I'm currently on a Dustin Hoffman phase. Just got through watching most films from Kevin Spacey. Peter Lorre was before that. I think Pacino will be next.
I watched Tootsie and The Graduate this week. I'd forgotten how funny Tootsie was.

(6,787 posts)Actors who are "new" to me, that is. I like watching good actors' careers take off...So if I see someone I don't know doing a great job in a role, I make my friends sit quietly through the credits until I learn the name...

(3,275 posts)I went through a Charlie Chaplin phase, a Jack Lemmon phase, an Alfred Hitchcock, a screwball comedy phase, James Cagney phase, Cary Grant phase, 1970s disaster movie phase, etc.

The Great Dictator is a film I have to watch again at least once a year.
Still Blue in PDX
(1,999 posts)Both movies and TV. My Alan Rickman and Jason Isaacs marathons were particularly fun.
After my stint as an extra on Leverage I became a bit obsessed with Christian Kane and watched everything I could find that he appeared in, including some episodes of Angel.
In a Doctor Who and Masterpiece Mystery mashup, there's an Inspector Morse DVD waiting for me at the library that Patrick Troughton appeared in.

(12,401 posts)I've seen every one, and saw him on stage in NYC and Dublin. What most people don't realize is that he is a fantastic comic actor (huge shame that The Search For John Gissing never got into theaters) and a brilliant director. Also stunning in person.

(10,888 posts)I can't think of a role I didn't like Rickman in, but that voice was so hilarious and understated.

(10,575 posts)In a near future, President George Bush has been just elected for the fourth time with his vice Arnold Schwarzenegger and the USA is in war against many nations, among them Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Venezuela, France and Alaska. In order to compensate the loss of soldiers, the government is researching a virus to reanimate the dead tissue of deceased soldiers and reactivate their brains, to form a powerful army of undead. When the experiment goes wrong and gets out of control in a facility in Sartre, Nebraska, the efficient Z Squad is summoned to destroy the zombies. However, the soldier Byrdflough (Zak Kilberg) is bitten by a zombie and afraid of being killed, he escapes to the underground Brademus strip-club owned by the greedy Ianna Esco (Robert Englund). Byrdflough bites the star Kat (Jenna Jameson) and the stripper spreads the virus, turning her colleagues into zombies and eating the flesh of their clients.

(14,400 posts)roles than cameos and think they should count in any "I've seen everything by" announcement.
In the case of Jenna Jameson you'd need to only see a one or two of them to have "seen everything" however.

(10,888 posts)A curious thing with Jeff Bridges, how he was Starman, then the shrink for Kpax in a later movie. I liked that.

(46,179 posts)She cares more about who is "in" the movie than the plot.
She has to see every movie by her favorites, no matter what.
Which is why I'll be seeing Lone Ranger this afternoon; she can't miss a Depp movie.
