Post a Pic of your Tattoo(s)!!!

I have this on my back:

it was supposed to be an armband using this
as an inspiration. I was thinking thin, dotty, easy to cover with a t-shirt.

Ha! When the tattooist pulled out her creation I almost freaked. I can't have that on my arm!!! It was WAY big. From shoulder to nearly elbow. Waay bigger than I wanted. But I really really liked it. So spur of the moment I thought "back" and there she be.

I also have Calvin & Hobbes on my hips. But those were cheapo tattoos I got when I was 18 and tat's were illegal in SC, so they were cheap AND clandestine. Always a winning combination when getting ink designs permanently embedded in your skin. Of course, like 2 weeks after I got Calvin (my first tat), Bill Waterson retired, so now it's like having Beetle fucking Bailey tattooed on me :-/

Never got any. Didn't want any distinguishing marks or characteristics when deciding to lie low. hobbit709 Jul 2013 #6

I plan to get something done with my clan tartan and badge.

Also, Calvin and Hobbes will be universally cool for all eternity.

so now calvin's head is greatly stretched, like he has hydrocephaly, and he has a big stretch mark running down his head, like a weird Harry Potter....

My motivation to lose weight is purely tattoo related. I can't have Hobbes with as much of a pot belly as me! ha ha

C&H will be awesome.

I wonder if I get tats now and then lose weight, will they shrink?

Well, probably moot point as I'd get the tattoo on my arm...they never got bigger or smaller - just stayed kinda skinny while my gut grew to encompass more beer...

I always thought the price point was a bit high (that is if you want a good looking tattoo) and there is nothing I've ever felt that I wanted to put it on my body.

Not knocking them, they look sexy as hell if done right, but its just not me

the one on my back only shows if I'm in a bathing suit or low-backed tank top. The ones on the hips are only seen by my husband.

I have wanted to get an armband for a while but sadly, working as a Nurse, I come across a lot of patients who are, well, old bigoted fucks who don't want a black nurse, or an asian nurse, or a hispanic nurse, or one with a visible tattoo, or one with a piercing. The hospital I work at now isn't unionized, so I don't have the protections I previously did, and here they require all tattoos to be covered with clothing or makeup "when reasonably possible". When I worked at the hospital in Seattle, everyone, even the MD's, were sleeved and pierced....

The one time I considered it was on my shoulder, of a hammer and sickle, each held by a different hand.

Let's just say my Marxism has morphed into a kind of Anarchism, so I am glad I didn't get that.
