The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsMy aunt is very sick right now. She is in hospital and on morphine. Thankfully she is at peace
and feels she has been very lucky in life. She and her husband were so great to me when I was so shy and at university. I did not know them very well but was ushered into a house full of love and life. Sending all my vibes to Nova Scotia and asking for you to join me.

(7,720 posts)My mother died five years ago. My dad is the last of his generation in our family. My father says old age isn't for sissies. My mother too had dementia the last years of her life. The good thing about the dementia is that it took away her arthritic pain. The bad thing is that it eventually took her from us.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I promise, things eventually get better.
