That right wing vibe...

During my camping trip there was this one family about 4 or 5 spots up from me that gave me what I'm calling the conservative willies / vibe. First thing I noticed when I walked past his site were 2 very large and prominent bumper stickers on the back of his large black Ford F350 truck. A quick look showed they were support our troops ribbon stickers. Then as I walked by and looked at their site the guy standing there gave me the most unwelcome stare. The next day as I walked by his site I noticed he'd hung up a large Canadian flag at the back of the site, and the day after that he'd moved the flag to the front of the site to make it more prominent. I also got a quick glimpse of the family sitting down to dinner. I don't know what it was but somehow the whole family had that strict hyper "groomed" look to them. Any one of these by themselves wouldn't mean much, together as a package they gave me the willies.

Ever get that kind of vibe off someone just from small clues like this?

once was at a camping site and the other time I was tending bar and someone went evangelical on me . I kind of humored my way out of the situations by acting goofy ( or goofier than normal )

Of course, someone could be driving someone else's car/van/truck. I just assume people are conservatives until I know otherwise. It saves me much grief, because I'm not into debating ignorant fools.

"Hyper groomed look". I like that term you coined. I can think of so many I've run across who sens out that vibe: Stilted in appearrance and body language that you know they're so tight that they could crack open walnuts between their ass cheeks.
