I have done some skydiving, but at least I had a parachute. And I would not sit on that ledge without one.

I can't even climb two steps up a ladder without getting vertigo. I think I'm starting to feel dizzy now, just looking at the picture. :-O

I don't have a fear of heights, per se, but I have a dreadful fear of falling--having fallen out of a three-story barn when I was five.....

I don't think it bothered him at all when he was doing it -- but I have a distinct impression that remembering it now gives him the cold sweats
