Certainly plays to Vin Diesel's strengths just as the Die Hard franchise plays to Willis'.

(8,217 posts)1. Ok, I'll own to watching that on opening night
I've seen Pitch Black and the 2nd one Chronicles of Riddick.
I'll admit, it was fun. It won't win anything, but for the time spent, it was entertaining for what it is.

(30,947 posts)2. I have both DVDs.
My daughter gave them to my last Xmas because she knows I am a fan of Vin Diesel. I can't wait until Riddick comes out on DVD.

Since I thought it was far better than the last one.
The last one was over-bloated and a grave misuse of Judi Dench, and was PG-13 dreck.
Seriously, they really should just give up on certain things and go for the hard R. It would make the film a minimum of 5 times better.

These movies aren't meant to be ground breaking or enlightening, just entertaining which they are.
