ever have an elevator refuse to stop at your floor?

I was going through a wierd electrical field thingy once. Every light bulb in my home burned out on the same day or two. And then the headlights on my car. And then I was headed toward my desk at work when I felt an odd sensation on the back of my neck, I heard a click and the fire alarm I was walking past went off. A short time later, I overheard 2 security guys talking and one of them said they never did figure out what set off the alarm. I just looked straight ahead and walked fast.

Anyway, in this same time span of a couple days, I tried to take the elevator to a meeting. I was alone on the elevator when it passed my floor and went to the top floor to let somebody on. I pushed my button again, but it passed my floor again and deposited the rider at the first floor. Somebody else got on. I pressed my button again, but it passed my floor again and took the new person to the floor above mine, then continued up to the top floor. I pressed my button again...you get the idea.

I spent 20 minutes riding up and down that effing elevator passing my floor up and down the entire time. Finally gave up, got off and walked!
