The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsBay Area DUers, my band is gigging in Hayward this Saturday...
Place called The World Famous Turf Club (apparently it's been there since 1923, so the odds are that somebody around the world knows about it ) We'll be playing out on their 4,000sq ft patio from 4 to 8. Weather should be great and it'll be a fun end of Summer party. No cover charge and two blocks from the Hayward BART station.
Love to see and meet any of you that can stop by. Y'all east of the Sierras are welcome too, I just can't spring for airfare. Come up and introduce yourself, I'll be the old guy goofing around on the bass and squawking in the mic from time to time.

(28,498 posts)You can make it into a kind of "blues tour" and visit on the blues clubs along Highway 80!
That'll take you right into the Bay Area!

The Husband will be playing October 19th (or around there) at 'Bob's Boogie Barn' in Riverside. It's a reunion jam. You should go and introduce yourself. I won't be there because California is too expensive and there will be far too many people that I don't know.
Since it's a jam I'm assuming they'll even let bass player on stage.
