...at the DC Fine Art Photography Fair. They had quite a few photos from the civil rights era (including the ones below) and Rep. Lewis was in several of them. As he looked over the photos he made a few observations, pointing out those folks he knew and naming some of the landmarks and locals he recognized. A very memorable encounter!

As Rep. Lewis was examining the above photo, he wondered aloud if that was the Ben Moor hotel behind them to the right. He bent over and examined the picture closely to assure himself that it was, which you can see for yourself. I did a Google for it, and sure enough, it is known as a frequent meeting place between black and white community leaders in the early years of the civil rights era.
