A new patient of mine competed in the 1976 Olympics!

Older gentleman. Competed in Track & Field for his nation in Montreal.

I will give no more details, since a quick trip to the almanac could breach his privacy.

It's sad, though, that after such an honor, he should come to the US and be homeless and on the streets...

How sad indeed is it that he's homeless after such an exciting life...

I'm glad though, that you are there to care for him.

I see many a story like that. Sadder still is the wan of many to stereotype all homeless as people who have never did anything. If people really knew just a handful of the life stories out on the street...

Who would've thought? That is heartbreaking in so many ways.
