I know for a fact that I bought some on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls... in a little candy shop there.

Is that if you mix a pound of candy corn (melted in the microwave) with a pound of peanut butter, smash it flat and cover strips of it in melted chocolate, you have homemade butterfingers.

I didn't taste them side by side, but it seemed to me very very much the same, with that slightly crackly texture. And horribly easy, addictive and dangerous.

That, and the equally simple copycat peppermint patty recipe could be serious problems in my life if I lived alone and had no witnesses and was never accountable for my actions.

I'm pretty sure mine is all made of chemicals and chicken knuckles and corn syrup, though. Tastes best that way.
