talented and everything to be admired in a celebrity, even as he had his own alcohol and depression demons. Nearly every year, I take a long drive into the Rockies and have his music as the soundtrack to a wonderfully meditative trip.

RIP, John Denver. I will never forget you.

Colorado loved him and still watches the PBS tributes to him and his "simple songs." I think he truly believed that somehow the good people with sunshine on their shoulders and enjoying a Rocky Mountain high would prevail.

That's a pretty one, too. So many of his songs just make the mind drift away to another place. I think he knew that. Thanks for posting this little tribute.

His songs are wonderfully singable, and beautiful ballads.

Annie's Song is the one that always gets to me...
