Cowboys remain America’s (favorite) team

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/10/17/cowboys-remain-americas-favorite-team/related/

With so many polls currently focused on the Redskins, there’s another poll that centers on the Cowboys.

According to SportsBusiness Daily, a recent Harris Poll shows that the Cowboys remain the most popular team among American football fans.

The Cowboys remained on top since the last time the poll was conducted in 2011, even though the team hasn’t been to the playoffs since 2009.

Now if they could keep from choking in the last quarter.

My team.

since I was a boy. My dad once took me to Texas stadium in Irving to see Roger Staubach come from behind (again!) to beat the Eagles.

They are the only pro team I have ever rooted for and I intend to continue that until I die...

it might be a little skewed by the fact that, besides Alaska (where the population is probably 10 humans and 50,000 moose that don't give a rat's ass about football), Texas is the largest state and would naturally have more people voting for their state's team. Except for the Texans, where they're having some....issues.

Ask any New Englander what our favorite team is and it won't be the Cowboys, that's for sure.

At worst, it'll be either the Giants or Jets, mostly in the far western part of Mass and parts of CT (traitors!!!).

That said, if the Cowboys ever end up playing a team I personally hate, I always root for Dallas.

It used to be CBS fawning all over the Cowboys, until they turned into losers.

Frontrunners have no loyalties.
