An article I read today had me thinking about my first job.

My first official job was making pizzas at the Sbarros on Broadway in NYC. It was given to me by the manager who was also friends with my mom. But before that I worked in the summer at a local pizza place that was under our apartment I probably would have stayed working there if the guy didn't have a heart attack.

I was 15 and made 2 bucks an hour. I was only there for 3 weeks but in that time I got a 10 cent raise because the minimum wage went from 2 to 2.10. Once school started they closed down for the winter and by the next summer I was working at Kinney Shoes in the mall.

But I've done a lot of pizza jobs in my time too. When I first got married I had a full time job and delivered pizza for 2 different places at night. Glad I don't have to do it any more but I do miss some of the perks.
