I saw that on TV once but they were smaller ones. The diner had to peel the tentacles off his face so he could get it in his mouth.

I don't get it.

It is quite popular in Japan, and dumplings containing bits of octopus, called "tako-yaki", are standards fare at feativals and are also often sold by street vendors, especially in front of railroad stations. But Japanese don't eat them live.
