They say you get 1 interview for every hundred and it takes 10 interviews before you are hired. Well I should have had 4 interviews by now if the number are right. I don't think they are.
But I'll keep going. Got to.

(14,120 posts)It is a good thing I have a laptop. The work center at the library is full. And with most places wanting you to go online to fill out applications, I think the wait list will keep getting longer for a work space.

(268 posts)I really don't think the jobless rate is a low as they say it is. I say more like 15-20%! But you don't worry. Anyone looking at your information will see they are getting the best bargain ever!

(118,659 posts)the telephone book, pick out the places you would be great at working at, call them and get their manager's name and address, do a snappy cover letter, send out 100 resumes. That way you get your resume on file at a few places. Good luck!

(14,120 posts)I have been going on foot to places and using the internet. One place with lost of jobs on it is Snag a job. com.
At lest it gives me a way to hit a lot of places. It is better than going to store to store in the mall, most just give me a card and say to go online anyway.
