I'm still alive. Sorry for worrying people.

I haven't been posting recently but someone brought to my attention via PM that people have been worries about me:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018502153

Thank you guys for the concern, it's nice to know that people are thinking about me.

To be honest I haven't been posting because there hasn't been anything good to post about. I'm trying to stick to the old "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything", for fear of alienating everyone with one whiny post after another.

I've been in a pretty dark place this past month or so. I'm not actively suicidal, not planning, but I have to admit I think about it all the time. Have had some issues with binge drinking as well. All I do is sleep and eat, have my night and day reversed. I'm living like a mole. At any rate I'm seeing a new psychiatrist on the 4th and will see where that goes. Sorry to worry everyone.

Seriously, take a long walk, relax. You will be fine. Believe that. There is "good" everywhere, beauty in the grain of wood, or the patterns on a stone, everywhere. Suck it in. Breathe it out. You will be fine. I have every confidence in you.

.You seemed to be an avid hiker. I think you should push yourself to start again -- I can't think of anything more therapeutic for you to do. Fresh air... time to examine, reflect and retain or release as necessary... and a good physical tiring.

It's simple and easy --- and could be very helpful.

To borrow a phrase from back in my day: Keep On Truckin'! Really didn't have anything to do with transportation, more about moving forward. You are stronger than you feel right now and time will prove that.

from a GP. I just found out recently that at least some of the symptoms that I attributed to depression are due to an autoimmune disease (hard to get things done when your body says "just sit there quietly"!) Also, as it turns out, my autoimmune disease is associated with depression.

I usually get depressed as the days get shorter and need to use a light therapy box.

Good luck in dealing with this and keep us posted on how you're doing!

I've seen it happen time and again. It takes faith and patience and going against what your brain tells you is fact. Hang in there, and don't think you're only welcome when you're positive.
