Kitten rescued from ceiling ready for adoption

PHOENIX - A kitten rescued from inside the ceiling of a Tempe city recreation center is ready for adoption.

Bretta Nelson with the Arizona Humane Society said “Libby” will be available on Friday, November 8 at their Sunnyslope location.

Nelson said Libby has been in foster care since her rescue in mid-September . At the time she was just over one pound and needed to reach two pounds in order to be spayed. Her rescuer, AHS Emergency Medical Technician Andy Gallo, has been taking care of the kitten.

But now it’s time to find the perfect family for Libby, even though Gallo and his daughters have fallen in love with her.
