(11,550 posts)The last 10 minutes of the last episode were quite powerful. I'm really curious to see how the band of survivors continues on from here. And I agree, they need to leave Hershel's farm behind, especially now that they no longer have the search for Sophie to make them stay put.
Excited for Sunday's premiere episode!

(12,047 posts)As for Sophie - it blew me away - I never saw that coming.

(6,907 posts)so much of it has seemed so derivative, but watered down, that was a good rough punch.
eta it is kind of like a zombie soap opera. I think that zombie's stop being scary if you have enough time to think about it.

(56,829 posts)I thought the first episode of season 2 was good, as well as the last. However, the five episodes in between could have been condensed down to 2. The slow pace could have been due to the well publicized budget cuts.
I didn't see the Sophia as a walker scenario because the comic book Sophia is still alive through 90+ issues.

(11,550 posts)I'm glad they're developing a story for the TV series that breaks away from the original material a bit, otherwise we would know what to expect. It keeps it exciting!
Also, it has been really interesting to see how they have been developing Shane's character for the TV series. He died way too early in the books.

It's rare that I do kind of a daily countdown to any series' "New Season"... but I've been
kicking down the walls of my stall on this one.

Didn't see Sophia coming at all -- HEART-WRENCHING -- her almost inaudible vocalizations
sounded like nothing but confusion and sadness to me... I had never gotten that impression
from ANY zombie before.

I don't WANT to read the written words as I want new episodes to be completely fresh --
maybe AFTER it's over.

I think I'm not much of a fan of moldering decay.

But "The Walking Dead", though it has GREAT make-up and prosthetic effects, doesn't
really FOCUS on that aspect -- so, at least THAT show wouldn't make me think any the
less of anyone.
