Tomorrow afternoon I'll be in Albuquerque...

...the midpoint of my trip to Texas. Staying in a motel, will get up around 5 AM on Wednesday and complete the journey.

Today is my last full day of Pahrump. 14 months. One failed romance, one job as a DJ in a local bar, one job as a ghost writer / photograher for one of the working women at Dennis Hof's Bunny Ranch.

NEXT????

Innertubing on the snowy slopes, I hit a bowl-shaped depression that caused me to land on my head and folded my shoulder over onto my chest.

The ride down the mountain was a nightmare. Even driving very slowly there are a lot of bumps on the mountain roads, and every one caused excruciating pain.

I should have counted my blessings.

At Kirtland AFB the doc brought the most advanced medical technology to bear--he put his knee in my back and yanked with all his might on my shoulders to set my broken collarbone.

I wore the brace he gave me (so the bone would heal properly) religiously for three months. And I still ended up with a short shoulder because the bones healed overlapped.

I still love the Sandias--but I KNEEd a little sympathy here. I don't think my experience was so HILLarious.''
