It's hard to have a bad day in retirement. Bake, sew, garden, clean, laze and read. I worked hard. I deserve leisure.

I'm in DC and most of my clients are snowed-out while I work from home (self-employed, starting a full-service boutique communications firm for NPOs)...so I have no work to do and all the work time in the world.

Conversely, to make ends meet because I'm not yet breaking even on the comm. firm, I'm still a chef. Specifically, at this point, a kitchen-temp (basically, I'm a temp for restaurants when the cooks/chefs call out sick and they're short in the kitchen) and a catering chef who also does private chef and meal service gigs...so I'm waiting for those calls because they're inevitable on a day like today, though they won't come until probably 3-4PM.

All of which is to say, I'm busy at work right now...playing Hidden Shadows on Facebook.

Cold and rainy here. Making plans for the family Christmas get together. Also made an appt. to see my dentist.

The weather's got me socked in, so it's work in the studio and probably clean up the shop for me today. Maybe put a starter and new door handle on the truck, but we'll see. I hate working on vehicles.
