(2,289 posts)I could see the following happen to me.
I step off the path and see the cute little guy in the tree. "Oh, look at him. Look at that beautiful fur!" After a few seconds of comments from the others with me, we decide to not bug the little thing any more than we have already.
As I turn to keep walking he throws something at me, hitting me square on the back of the head. Somehow he managed to get an angle to insure that his poop is on both my head and in my hat.
Everyone then laughs and points at me while heaping all sorts of praise on the monkey which is also laughing.
That is what would happen to me.

(25,771 posts)I met the Mitiaii ... to much the same end. I shall 'splain:
At Millsaps College there was a philosophy professor named Dr. Mitias that lived in campus faculty housing. He has twin little boys. The Mitias kids were very cute. Little did I know that they were in actuality, the Mitiaii.
I was on my way across campus one afternoon and I came upon these two cute little kids cupping there hands together having, so I thought, found a wounded bird or something,
"Look what we got" one of them said sheepishly.
So I crouched down to take a look at the secret that they wished to share. (I was a real sucker then - much the same as now)
Once I was vulnerable they sprung the trap. "Its a ROCK! and they threw it at me."

(12,272 posts)The chimps remind me of human kids, and then mom and friends come running to the rescue. And I agree with Tyrs, the little guy does look lonely and he probably is a pretty adept poop flinger.

(12,272 posts)The way she went after the kale, I though for sure it would hurt me if she missed, but it didn't. Animals really don't like us sticking our face in theirs, even if they are pets. Sorry about your upper lip, I know that hurts.
