I absolutely love this little scene from the 1951 movie A Christmas Carol

originally titled Scrooge and starring Alastair Sim. This scene never fails to tug at my heart strings and the music of Barbara Allen is very nostalgic. The performance of the young maid in the opening seconds is extraordinary in the feelings she communicates, without uttering a word. The actress was uncredited and no one seems to have been able to identify her through the years, although some speculate that it was a very young Audrey Hepburn (it doesn't look like it to me but, she was brilliant, whoever she was).
