used to chase his tail on top of the book case in the middle of the night. He has all his claws, so it sounded like he was tap dancing.

Cute little taps on my nose, a big purr, a walk on my tummy or back. She finally gives up and decided 5:30 is better. At that time I give up.
I would sell my soul to sleep for another hour but someone wants breakfast...NOW.

Is best to leave food out for her, she will eat when she gets hungry.
Unless she's one of those hoggies and eats until it pukes, like my old cat

Before I go to bed, I make sure she has both wet and dry food. I'll admit I go to bed early but that does not seem to change things here.

In the summer, she does not seem to be so persistent. These past 2 months or so, she seems to want me to be up with her at the crack of --before--dawn.
I don't mind but there are many times when I don't fall asleep soon enough and her highness wants me up to keep her company.
She is a sweetheart so I get up, keep her company and do some of those chores that I could easily do later. A load of laundry, perhaps clean the bathrooms, maybe vacuum the den. Meanwhile, now that I am up, her furriness goes back to her fleece bed for a nap, knowing I am there to tend to her every want.

I would love to adopt another kitty to keep her company but in my area, the cost of a shelter kitty(as is my friend) is over $200.00 and not in my budget. I think she is lonely during the night.

I will keep her schedule until the spring, I expect she will -hopefully- go back to her normal
6 AM or so.

She is my great companion and I am not upset with her but it would sure be nice to sleep in once in a while.

I know private rescues here and non kill shelters who only charge 25 or 50. Also, there are ads in the newspaper for "free" kittens. Theyre not really free, you still have to pay a small amount. But not $200.

Cats are awesome ans magickal creatures. We can't always understand them, but we can love them and thank them for giving 2 s% about us, humans.

Thank you for being so good to your kitten
