Ride to work in the pre-dawn. It was a little foggy and on coming car lights right in the eyehole and I just got a tad blinded. No I was completely blinded. In a ditch. lol.
Handle bars all twisted. Had to hold it at about a 45% angle to go straight.
Yeah I was a tad pissed.
Way to start a Monday. Skidding into a ditch. lol. yeah.
And my knee is just lovely colors.

(47,564 posts)Had myself a single-bike accident six months ago and bent my fingers the wrong way. Just getting to the point where I can make a fist again.
Fun, ain't it?

I flipped over and landed smack on the left side of my head and left elbow. One gal who witnessed the accident ran over to me and said, "I think you should go to the hospital". "Nah, I'm OK," I replied. I then went into a washroom and saw that half of my face was covered in blood.

(27,247 posts)here in Japan, but the first head landing. Ten years before that, I flipped over when my front wheel came off, but I landed on my side and scratched that up pretty bad. A couple of times other bicycle riders have suddenly pulled out in front of me, causing me to crash, either into them or into a small wall. Three other times I've hit a slick spot (wet tiles, a muddy patch on a bicycle path, an ice patch on a road) causing me to suddenly lose control of the bicycle and crash.
