It's a "Walking Dead" theme show. After the intro about that, he said (paraphrase, fairly close: ), "NBC is starting the Olympics tonight..."

(Long pause. I was wondering why he was promoting NBC.)

"It's a really big thing for NBC..."

(Long pause. )

"Finally, somebody willing to PASS THE TORCH!1"

(Pause. Audience ooo-ing and awww-ing. ) "I ALLOWED MYSELF ONE!1"

******I'll be watching Dave. KIMMEL did a make-up/kiss-up, something about "putting aside issues, 22 yrs of being on top is a real accomplishment." There are news items previewing what goes down with LENO's buh-bye: His tearing up about having lost his parents and brother during the first three years of the Tonight gig and how the show and crew became his family, the audience being all VIP, Oprah and others singing Sound of Music farewell, Jack BLACK singing that "If FALLON tanks we'll see you back!1" boo-effing-hoo. LENO's dig at NBC, "I don't like goodbyes. NBC does."
