Let's try a little experiment.
I need some new music to add to my iPod. Maybe you do too. So, let's help each other out. Since a whole lot of music is out on youtube, share the youtube link here for everybody to see. Maybe everybody will find something new that they like.
The main rule here is share whatever you like right now. No limit by genre or age or anything. Far out of the mainstream is most welcome. But I would suggest that each person not share 10 different things. Many people likely won't have the time to view that many.
If this works well, maybe we can do this every Sunday. So for today, here's my contribution...
From Wikipedia...
A Tribe Called Red are a Canadian electronic music group, who blend instrumental hip hop, reggae, moombahton and dubstep-influenced dance music with elements of First Nations music, particularly vocal chanting and drumming. Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the group consists of three DJs, Ian "DJ NDN" Campeau, Dan "DJ Shub" General and Bear Witness, and describes its music as "powwow-step", a style of contemporary powwow music for urban First Nations in the dance club scene.

(287 posts)I've actually been a member since 2004 but would only visit very infrequently and pretty much never post, but I'd like to change that. It's a great community here.

I found A Tribe Called Red in an article on the Matador Network. On writer was writing about up and coming music for 2014.

(17,209 posts)... but was never a mainstream recording success. YT has a lot of videos of his live performances, though. There's not a bad one among them. And he put on a terrific show. This audience really needed to wake up.

(287 posts)I always like adding to my favorite guitarists list. I'm sure I'm missing a few here but my tops are:
Mark Knopfler
Mark Sandman
Yngwie Malmstein
Steve Vai
Eric Clapton
Joe Satriani
Lindsay Buckingham

(17,209 posts)Mark Knopfler was a big fan of Rory, but then most guitarists are.

(17,209 posts)I just started watching a full 2-hour video of Montreaux. I like to see a full show, you get all the cool things like slide, mandolin, and electric sitar.

You have to at least like metal to enjoy this, but her vocals are incredible. Like a goth-metal Adele!
