The third one is reminiscent of a drive on a straight stretch of road in a wide, arid valley with rocky hills rising on either side, between Taft and Ojai, California.
No visible movement anywhere around us except for maybe a hawk spiraling up the thermals. Far ahead of us, about as far as those white objects in the photo, some small creature was slowly creeping across the road. We knew it wasn't a rodent, or lizard... too slow. By the time we got near it was on the left side of the road and we could see what it was...a Tarantula!

I used to dream that I'd retire to an old shack on the edge of the sand somewhere and spend my old age meditating and writing. Alas, dreams such as that rarely come to pass. I'm in northern Indiana, drowning in snow. All I dream about now is getting out of my wheelchair and walking on a grassy lawn full of dandelions.

Still, no regrets. I have what I have, and I'm happy with it.

Such is life.

I just want to concentrate on my fractals for a while.

Been thinking of rebuilding my old fractal art web page- it's been quite a while since I had my own site online. Not really sure it's even worth it, since I now have a Photobucket account, but it's something to think of.
