Siamese Cat
is known as one of the first distinctly recognized breeds of the Asian feline family. It is a short haired cat of a breed developed in the Far East, having blue eyes and a pale fawn or gray coat with darker ears, face, tail, and feet and said to be descended from the sacred temple cats of Siam (now Thailand). Their Thai name is Wichien Maat.
Siamese
is a word that originates from the southeast Asian country, Thailand. Thailand was also known as Siam, which was the country's official name until May 11, 1949. Thai or Siamese, is the official language of Thailand.
