This sounds more flippant than I mean it to be: have a lot of DUers been dying lately?

It just seems like there have been a whole bunch. I know any large enough online community is going to have deaths pretty much constantly, it's just weird how some things seem to cluster (or maybe it's just that one person writes a great OP eulogy and other people who otherwise wouldn't have said much get inspired to write one too when a DUer passes on).

Anyways.

Don't know for sure... but I suspect that's reflected in the gen population as well.

Severe cold stresses the system. Factor in other variables ( age, etc) and "there ya go".

after she was diagnosed with cancer and given about 1 year.

BeHereNow was diagnosed with some kind of cancer within the last couple of months or so, which was found too late.

GreatfulForHope had just renewed on MIRT about a month ago, so her passing seems very unexpected. I don't know how much (within DU) is known as far as what happened.

seems to be snowing when they are dead. I think it is weather related since they die from heart attacks and strokes.

and it has been around for quite a while. Some of the folks that have passed recently were pretty well known and thought of.
Seems almost like what happens in small towns in a way
