Woman’s Stomach Pains Turn Out to be Baby

INDIANA–A woman was rushed to the hospital with stomach pains; but it wasn’t a medical problem– she was pregnant!

According to WRTV, Mandy Batchelor gave birth to a son just hours after getting to the hospital.

Mandy said she didn’t even know she was pregnant. She said she never had any signs, except a little weight gain which she said was her usual winter weight gain.

They had to scramble to come up with a name for the 7-lb baby boy. “General Lee is my Mom’s grandpa and then Jacob was my dad’s grandpa. So both my great grandpas. I just put them together. Plus I have a general lee car, so it just all worked out,” the baby’s father said.

She was engaged but not married yet; her later-husband was in the Armed Forces and overseas
at the time of the delivery. She thought she was having an appendicitis attack.

But in her case, she was well over 100 lbs overweight on a frame that is about 5'3". That severity
of overweight caused her hormones to go whacko (fat produces extra estrogen) and she had not
had regular periods because of that.

This woman doesn't look that heavy set.

how stupid is that person....until it almost happened to me. I was over 5 mos before I discovered I was pregnant.

I had one morning of morning sickness and thought it was a greasy donut.

Thought I was having light regular periods.

Thought my fatigue was just that, I was working 40+ hours and going full time to Nursing School.

I did not have a baby bump until 7th month.

The baby did not move until midway through 5th month.

Six months prior, when I though I was pregnant, they told me is was stress and poo pooed my lack of a period.

If it weren't for the availability of home pregnancy test I could have been one of those women. As my midwife said...you are going to have the shortest pregnancy on record (and I was in shock the entire time). I insisted I know the sex because one surprise was enough for me. I had a trouble free but long birth. I only had pitocin when the contractions stopped. Refused the amniocentesis even though the freshness date on the eggs were about to expire. All turned out well. Oh, and the only craving I had and indulged in was one Margarita per week. And she turned out super smart and healthy.
