Chatelaine

A chatelaine is like a toolbelt for ladies. A chain worn about the waist holding things like keys, scissors, thimble, watch, household seal, etc. Popular and elegant from medieval through Victorian times.

The one in the picture is beautiful!

I suppose chatelaines would be too heavy to wear as steampunk earrings (or as an earring on just one ear), but wouldn't it look great?
