Youre a person with a big personality that needs a country with a big personality. Monaco is the perfect fit for you because of that - I mean, any country with a prince is, right? Youre quite a private person and people might see this as you being a bit rude, but it just takes a while to get to know you. However, you couldnt be closer to the people you consider friends and in the end thats whats most important. Now grab the closest Italian sports car and head to Monaco ASAP!
I picked mexican food, tropical birds, waterfall...and I end up in Monaco? None of the sports interested me at all...I picked tennis but could have easily picked golf -- just a place to sit outside and fall asleep. Probably golf is better for that, but tennis has that hypnotic bop that helps me nod off....

(9,077 posts)You like to take things easy, prioritizing time spent with family and friends over other distractions in your life. Times may get tough, but youve always got those around you to help you manage. Youre a bit of a talker and love a good piece of gossip but who doesnt? After all, the ancient Greeks were basically the ORIGINAL trendsetters.

Oh, man! Youre the chillest person in the world. You believe in living a laid back life, complete with good food, good beaches, and good people. You know what you want and you know how to get it, but the word stress isnt in your vocabulary. Living in Oman is like permanently being on vacation and, lets be real, that sounds pretty great. Added bonus: All the hummus you could ever want.
By the way, the horse in the sleeper was adorable, but I picked the dog.

(27,677 posts)Come on! Who could ask for a better result? Even the Beach Boys sing about how awesome the Bahamas are in that song Kokomo. The Bahamas have everything you need if youre looking to get away from it all: bodies in the sand, tropical drink melting in your hand, the rhythm of a steel drum band. Everything!

(8,217 posts)Cool, respected, hardworking. I bet you thought I was describing you just now, but I was actually describing your new country of residence: Japan! Japan is at the bleeding edge of every trend, just like you. Its also home to some pretty innovative game shows, so be prepared to spend a lot of time at home in front of the TV.
I did a similar quiz a few days ago, and got Norway. Either would work for me, although I think Norway is more appropriate.

(72,790 posts)Like you, the Portuguese people are gracious and friendly. You know that nothing makes you feel better than receiving a warm welcome from new friends, and the people of Portugal are more than willing to accommodate. Portugal is the hub between the Americas, Europe, and Africa, so its rich, varied culture will always keep you in awe.

(22,756 posts)At first when people first get to know you, they might think youre a bit reserved. But once theyve spent some time with you, youll be friends for life. Youre organized, reliable, and never, ever late. Youre a relaxed person, one who takes things one step at a time, never looking to get involved in a confrontation. Grab some skis, some chocolate (chocolate skis, perhaps?), and head to Switzerland!

(14,881 posts)If I stay north, I'd rather go to Iceland. Fell in love with it when I saw a PBS special on a Julliard group, showing them on their home turf, and one of the violinists was from Iceland. Cute ponies, exquisite scenery, reindeer, and they had the good sense to jail the banksters, flip off the IMF, and repair their economy. What more could you ask for?
(except, of course, for sunny, hot beaches, great food and drink, and the Caribbean )

(34,136 posts)Like beer? Like chocolate? Like French fries? Sure you do! Well, did you know that Belgium is the best at all three of those things! What more could you want from life? Belgium is also right in the central part of Western Euope, so even if you do get sick of eating junk food and drinking beer all day, you can just hop on a train and go to Amsterdam, or Berlin, or Paris, or anywhere else you want.
What french fries? I picked chocolate and pizza! The horse in the purple sweater! Richard Dawkins! Golf - because you're right, a nice place to sit out side and go to sleep.
NONE of those have anything to do with BELGIUM!
Well, I do like Hercule Poirot - maybe they read my mind and discovered that without asking about it.

Youre often taken for granted, but you think big and know you can punch way above your weight or, as the case may be, take on the Dream Team in an Olympic basketball game. Youre proud of your accomplishments but you dont let your pride get in the way of having a good time. Stay humble, stay strong, and youre going to come out on top. Also, enjoy Lithuania. Trust me, it rules.

Have you ever met a mean Dutch person? Didnt think so. The Netherlands have EVERYTHING. Seriously, pretty much everything is legal there, so theres really something for everyone. Youre bound to have a good time in Amsterdam, of course, but if youre looking for something a little different, get out of the city and check out the lovely canals and flower fields that cover the country. Its the most beautiful place in Europe.

That whole "pick a sport" thing was difficult. It was pretty much throw-a-dart time so I picked hockey.

Have you ever gone to the store and bought a bottle of that Fiji bottled water with the beautiful views of volcanoes and oceans on the label? FIJI THE COUNTRY IS ACTUALLY JUST LIKE THAT! Youre probably getting tired of all the hustle and bustle of modern life. Well, if you can manage to avoid the tourist areas, Fiji is probably just about your speed. So sit back, relax, and enjoy Fiji. You deserve it.

(21,925 posts)I've been there. I interviewed for a job in an American law firm over there. It's a stunningly beautiful but very cramped place. The famed casino and grounds are so immaculate they looked like they were built yesterday as part of a movie set. The most striking things to me about Monaco were how very friendly and smiling everyone was and how impossibly clean everything was. You could almost eat off the sidewalks and nary a speck of litter was to be found. I visited the Prince's auto collection which is a museum, the interesting zoo, and the commercial cave, as well as the bar and ate at a restaurant. They speak French but a lot of Americans and British live there. Jazz guitarist John McLaughlin lives (lived) there. I got no vibe there about people having big personalities or being rude (quite the opposite)

(78,249 posts)the hard-shelled tacos pictured are the kind served in the parts of America that have little or no Mexican influence. Even in the Bay Area, a taco is fillings wrapped in a soft tortilla (often wheat instead of corn), similar to a burrito, but without the rice, guac, etc.

Theres a reason people are drawn to you youre laid-back but up for anything, appreciative of the little things but always down for adventure, and generally enthusiastic about life. Youre just as likely to check out for a week on a beach as you are to roll down a mountain in a giant plastic orb (why not?!), and New Zealand has the stuff to please both the adrenaline chaser and the serenity seeker in you. Also, theres all that Lord of the Rings stuff.

I guess. I'll see when I make it there. In the meantime, I spend most of my time in a country that borders on Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and Poland.
Oh, and I have to run down to Spain on Sunday. Australia will have to wait.
