EVERYone knows AC/DC stands for Anti Christ/Devil's Children! They told us so in church. You can't say it in church if it ain't true!

If you hear Satan's marching orders when you play I Love It Loud backwards, you just might be messed up in the head (or already under demonic possession).

I mean come on, they sing God Gave Rock N Roll To You. They are fans of the big guy and appreciative for the gift of rock.

I don't think they meant to reference the Hindenburg disaster with their name - it was just Moon or Entwhistle (I don't think anyone remembers really which it was) saying it would go over like the world's biggest lead balloon so the biggest lead balloon Jimmy could think of was a zeppelin. I think they already had the name in mind before they did the cover art for the first album.

Unless the lead balloon thing is a direct reference to the Hindenburg? British slang?

Ten Years After (I've always wondered what that referred to, if anything)

Blodwyn Pig, the spin-off group from Jethro Tull

Savoy Brown

Soft Machine (a reference to the human body?)
