Big difference between the pit lane at the speedway back then and now. No wall between the track and pit lane in those days.

4 tires in less than 2 seconds!

Back when they were refueling the F1 guys were doing 4 tires and adding fuel in less than 9 seconds, but they had no limit to the number of guys in the box, either.
