So, I saw an old, old friend this last week and she looked great. So I asked her what her magic was and she said it was a combination of ten minutes of Pilates and walking up and down a steep hill every day. The steep hill I an imitate with a treadmill. Unfortunately, she didn't have time to teach me the Pilates.
If anyone knows the pilates that are easiest to absorb into a routine (i.e. won't discourage a beginner) please share.

(28,394 posts)I used to do it every day.. got away from it though. I have a Pilates exercise "machine" (?) that I bought from QVC. I need new DVDs though since I can't play the old VHS tapes that came with it anymore!

(153,169 posts)you need to be taught proper technique (while there is a low risk of injury with pilates, you will miss all the benefits if performed incorrectly)
