Perry Como and future of music, question

I've pondered this in a few of my idle moments. Could a singer such as Perry Como ever come around again ? I'm sure some never cared for his style, but to me he had a good voice (layman's opinion). I guess the same question can be asked of female artists. Christina Aguilera, back in the day, was hailed as having a wonderful voice, but her career seems to have stalled.

modern crooners of the same caliber?

Worst Christmas present I ever got was a Perry Como christmas cassette tape from my mom when I was in high school. In 1980. I never even opened it. First World Problems.


I don't think this is in the same category as Como but I love Pokey LaFarge. He's doing this old-timey stuff right now:
