She never gets underfoot, which is really important when I'm doing barn chores. Polly used to trip me all the time. I accidentally stepped on her more than once, when I was lugging something and couldn't see her. I would end up screaming at her because I didn't want her to get hurt, I can't afford for me to get hurt, and she wasn't getting the message.

Bella is around most of the time, but stays a safe distance when I'm busy. Yet she is very affectionate and enjoys a good scritch.

Very smart cookie. I think she learned an important lesson while she was kitnapped. A luxury home is not all it's cracked up to be once you get dumped and left to fend for yourself. Year-round loyalty, a dry bed, deworming and regular meals trump a damp dirt floor under a trailer. The barn may not have a couch or human bed, but the haypile is cozy, warm and dry, and Dahli keeps her warm too. She's a very happy kitty...purrfect for me.

busy, busy day. Not crazy busy, but nonstop flow from the ED. I'm feeling it today...tired and sore from running from one end of the lab to the other.
