Another example of that is Bridgewater Place in Leeds, which is a wind hazard. I'm sure you have examples of similarly bad buildings in the states that have been built more recently then the Tacoma Narrows Bridge that collapsed in 1940.

I think a better equivalent to the NFL would be the Premier League instead of FIFA. FIFA is the international governing body of football (and it's based in Zürich, Switzerland), while the Premier League is the actual league that the English clubs play in...

Even FIFA can't change them wily-nily every year as seems common in the NFL.

It's not a great analogy in either case.

It's actually quite funny when Americans over here if Man U are a bit like the New York Yankees, and are told very firmly Yes by us Brits. At that point said Americans start looking at somebody like Fulham as possible team to support instead.

Man U would have to suck like they have this season for a longer while yet to be like the Dallas Cowboys.

especially those who couldn't find Manc on a map, like Cowpies fans in, say, Ohio.

but a great majority of them live in the Tri-State area surrounding NYC. Not so with the Cowpies (actually Cowboys ), who are the most popular team as far west as Bakersfield, CA! Similarly with Man U, most actual Mancunians support Man City.

Is it just people who've been watching too much 70's porn? Cos it's not like they dominate the NFL as Man U dominated the English Premier League when they were managed by Alex Ferguson.

They were the big team back when the NFL was on British TV in the 80's, and as such have quite a few supporters over here from that time.
