St. Michael's Well
At St. Michael's Well in Scotland, there was a seer, prognosticator, in the body of a fly (yes, the insect) to which the villagers put their questions and worries. An elderly villager lamented the decline of the generation who no longer sought their auguries from the fly and had allowed the well to become overgrown with weeds.
