I do ready myself for work to be presentable but whenever I find myself fussing over how I look I remind myself that no one cares how I look. It's become very liberating. People also don't see about 90% of your aging signs. If you've been around them for a while all they see is you. Just like all you see is them when you know them.

If anyone doesn't believe that they should close their eyes and try to remember how their friends' or co-workers' mouth looks or how their ears look or their nose. Most people can't remember those details yet they instantly recognize them when they see them.

Really, people don't look at the details.

Kinda hoping there's something between 60 and Dead -- but I like this tune anyway....

Close to 73.
You don't care how ugly your veiny legs look to others.
Shorts are more comfortable.
Fuck 'em.

I'm still in my 50s, but already feeling pretty much that way. I'm looking forward to getting all the way there.

BTW, that Charlie Hunter performance was recorded when he was only 27. Now that he's 47, he probably sees things a bit differently.

neither my husband nor my boss object to my appearance and everyone else can piss off.

i like to think i'm a good person who takes care of their shit and that's all i think matters. i am not here to kowtow to what or who other people think i should be.
