There was a thread on Rootbeers sometime ago where someone swore by the Virgil. Over the weekend I stumbled into an organic store and finally found one to buy.
Damn, it's good. I love the taste of anise and it's the first Rootbeer where I picked up that flavor. I could also tell it was clean, cane sugar. I'm beginning to tell the difference between the overpowering sweetness of HFCS and natural cane sugar.

(46,758 posts)We were off the exit of Ormond Beach, I believe, and we had time to kill. So we drove down the road and there was Love's Whole Foods Cafe and Market.
I was shocked by the clientele, the classical music and wide selection of organic products. I thought to myself, "My people!"
Seemed like an oasis in the backwaters of Florida.

(21,761 posts)Kind of like a Trader Joe's... But different. They have a few sodas that are really good. They do have Jeremiahs but I have not tried it yet, I'll put it on my list. They do have a brand called 'Dry' that makes an awesome Vanilla Bean soda I like a lot and also a cucumber flavored soda that is also outstanding. These also have real cane sugar in all their flavors.
