Octavia Spencer had me bawling!
I was so glad she won, she did an amazing turn at that role in "The Help"
But she started bawling and next thing you know I was bawling!

(95,337 posts)He and Jonah Hill were both amazing in that movie.

(5,909 posts)Both of them were great in that movie...but it all went to The Artist---that's fine but I like a little mix up now and then---like KB won best pic for The Hurt Locker---I love that movie! Everone thought Avatar was the fave (which I really liked) but hey...oh and remember when Crash beat out BB Mountain for best pic--DU went nutz!

(68,918 posts)But I'm okay with Meryl winning. To me, it's one of the only categories that the Academy got right in terms of nominations this year.

(12,272 posts)So clever. It is the comedians who make watching the Oscars so much fun. My favorite moment ever was when the female comedians all went up on stage as their names were announced, it was hilarious, even if it was planned ahead of time.
This year was when Zach kept dropping his cymbals, it was just stupid funny. He makes me laugh just looking at him.

3) "Man or Muppet" winning Best Song
4) Christopher Plummer (bittersweet - I like him, but I was torn among him, Von Sydow, and Jonah Hill)
5) Esperanza Spalding during the "In Memoriam" segment.

(6,996 posts)Dressed as "musicians", Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis came out to present the Original Song award clashing their intruments...huge cymbals.
They proceeded to clash the cymbals, drop and clash the cymbals and pick up and drop and clash, etc. They turned what would have been a total nothing of a presentation into a small treat of perfect comic timing.

(12,272 posts)And didn't Zach drop one of his cymbals and then kick it as he was trying to pick it up? I was cracking up.
