Puppies, kitten among animals rescued from home of dead man
ROGERSVILLE A Hawkins County man who died in early July left behind several dogs and cats most of which were rescued by the Hawkins County Humane Society last week.
HCHS Assistant Manager Sandy Murray told the Times-News they retrieved a mother dog and three puppies, as well as a mother cat and one kitten from the deceased man's home on Thursday.
On Thursday afternoon, Hawkins County Sheriff's Office Deputy Jesse Williams responded to an animal complaint at 210 Clemons Road in Whitesburg, located in the far southwest portion of the county.
A neighbor told Williams that Rex Derryberry, who resided at 210 Clemons Road, had died about two weeks earlier, and the animals were left with no one to care for them.

Doesn't look like a properous area...but if you can, be sure to include the care of your pets in your will...I've set it up to give money to friends for the cats, and also some for their troubles...they've agreed to it. Kinda pointless, though, since I never plan on dying.
