The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsHow many posts of yours have YOU had a jury censor?
If not verboten, I'd love to hear how many posts we've all had a jury censorship panel remove for us.
Today, I had my second jury removal and I'm positively in stitches over it...
From now on, let it be known that I will be awarding scandalous, libertarian Bitcoin (amount of my choosing) to those who vote "LEAVE IT ALONE" to any of my future posts that get the honor of a jury review and subsequently NOT removed. Leave your Bitcoin address and something funny in the jury comment section.
Am I joking? Who knows?

Much depends on the jury. But IMO, some people are treated with more deference than others.

I think it's because I mostly post in threads that have something funny in them and I laugh all the time.
ReverendDeuce
(1,643 posts)And then if it doesn't "qualify" for the jury censor panel for whatever reason, we get to see the names of all members who alerted the post!
This would all but eliminate frivolous alerts.

I was keeping track back when you could still see how many people were ignoring you but haven't updated that in my "about" section in a while. I think there have been a couple or 3 more, so at least 8 or 10.

GEE, OFFICER KRUPKE
TIGER (spoken)
(imitating Officer Krupke)
Hey, you!
RIFF (spoken)
Me, Officer Krupke?
TIGER (spoken)
(as Krupke)
Yeah, you! Gimme one good reason
For not draggin ya down to the
Stationhouse, ya punk.
RIFF (sings)
Dear kindly Sergeant Krupke,
Ya gotta understand--
Its just our bringin upke
That gets us outta hand.
Our mothers all are junkies,
Our fathers all are drunks.
Golly Moses -- natcherly were punks.
ALL
Gee, Officer Krupke, were very upset;
We never had the love that every
Child oughta get.
We aint no delinquents,
Were misunderstood.
Deep down inside us there is good!
RIFF
There is good!
ALL
There is good, there is good,
There is untapped good.
Like inside, the worse of us is good.
TIGER (imitating Krupke)
Thats a touchin good story.
RIFF
Lemme tell it to the world!
TIGER (imitating Krupke)
Just tell it to the Judge.
RIFF (**to Snowboy)
Dear kindly Judge, your Honor,
My parents treat me rough.
With all their marijuana,
They wont give me a puff.
They didnt wanna have me,
But somehow I was had.
Leapin lizards --thats what Im so bad!
SNOWBOY (imitating a Judge)
Right!
Officer Krupke, youre really a square;
This boy dont need a judge, he
Needs a analysiss care!
Its just his neurosis that oughta be curbed--
**Hes psychologically disturbed.
RIFF
Im disturbed!
ALL
Were disturbed, were disturbed,
Were the most disturbed,
Like were psychologically disturbed.
SNOWBOY (still acting part of Judge)(spoken)
Hear ye, Her ye! In the opinion
Of this court, this child is
Depraved on account he aint had a normal home.
RIFF (spoken)
Hey, Im depraved on account Im deprived!
SNOWBOY (as judge - spoken)
So take him to a headshrinker.
RIFF (to Action)(sings)
My Daddy beats my Mommy,
My Mommy clobbers me,
My Grandpa is a Commie,
My Grandma pushes tea.
My sister wears a mustache,
My brother wears a dress.
Goodness Gracious, thats why Im a mess!
ACTION (as psychiatrist)
Yes!
Officer Krupke, he shouldnt be here.
This boy dont need a couch, he needs
A useful career.
Societys played him a terrible trick,
And sociologically hes sick!
RIFF
I am sick!
ALL
We are sick, we are sick,
We are sick sick sick
Like were sociologically sick!
ACTION (speaks as psychiatrist)
In my opinion, this child does not need
To have his head shrunk at all.
Juvenile delinquency is purely a
Social disease.
RIFF (spoken)
Hey, I got a social disease!
ACTION (spoken as psychiatrist)
So take him to a social worker!
RIFF (to ARAB)(sings)
Dear kindly social worker,
They tell me get a job,
Like be a soda-jerker,
Which means like be a slob.
Its not Im anti-social,
Im only anti-work.
Gloryosky, thats why Im a jerk!
ARAB (as social worker)
Eek!
Officer Krupke, youve done it again.
This boy dont need a job, he needs a
Year in the pen.
It aint just a question of misunderstood;
Deep down inside him, hes no good!
RIFF
Im no good!
ALL
Were no good, were no good,
Were no earthly good,
Like the best of us is no damn good!
SNOWBOY
The trouble is hes lazy.
JOYBOY
The trouble is he drinks
BABY JOHN
The trouble is hes crazy.
ARAB
The trouble is he stinks,
MOUTHPIECE
The trouble is hes growing.
ACTION
The trouble is hes grown!
ALL
Krupke, we got troubles of our own!
Gee, Officer Krupke,
Were down on our knees.
Cause no one wants a fella with
A social disease.
Gee, Officer Krupke,
What are we to do?
Gee, Officer Krupke --
Krup you!
