DU Album of the Day: Joy Division - Unknown Pleasure

I always wondered what could have become of Joy Division had lead singer Ian Curtis had not died so young. For those of you not familiar with Curtis' story, he had struggled for years with epilepsy and the doctors had a difficult time keeping his seizures under control. Many felt this is what ultimately lead to Ian Curtis' suicide at age 23. His seizures were so bad that he was actually known to have had a few while performing on stage.

Joy Division ceased to exist after the passing of Ian Curtis but the remaining members continued on under the name of New Order whose music migrated more towards the New Wave sound of the 80s.

I like New Order but they were never as good as Joy Division. Anyone else here a big fan?
