if I'm still awake. Sitting in the noonday sun waiting for a bridge permit (because the first permit request was denied) saps my energy. I'm not complaining. I helped move this same load twice this week. Maybe the permit will be approved for tomorrow.

I missed my 5PM nap (nap time is very important to someone in their golden years, doncha know ) due to the AC Repairman doing his thing. The darned unit froze up yesterday so it was too hot to sleep until early this morning.

I'll keep you and Will company if I can.

Traditional -- beef roast, Yorkshire pud, tansy cakes with mint sauce or something New World, turkey, potato something, corn salad and chocolate pud? He'll probably want seconds and thirds on the chocolate.

He's getting used to it. Lots of beef and lamb, which he's accustomed to. Green beans - no problem. Feta cheese is still new to him, but he likes it.

He draws the line at ouzo, though. He tried it once, and professed to like it. But he hasn't shown any eagerness to order it again.

I was going to smoke a bowl or two and watch the Mariners. I guess I'll have to multi-task.

Finishing off a hamburger and fries. My options are cherry brandy and blackberry brandy--any preference? First time that I've had any alcohol in about three months, but I felt like I was due a break from my tea-totalling ways.

I've had a couple of shots already and am starting to get that warm feeling. I'm listening to the repeat of showing on All In with Chris Hayes. It should be interesting monitoring whether I can still type and also make coherent sentences the remainder of tonight.

I wonder if it was fun?...
