I had no idea until recently when I was going through my dad's vinyl collection and unearthed his Cat Stevens collection. Sue me.

(4,138 posts)Of course, lots of people probably know it from the album/radio single, which wouldn't have had the song introductions. I remember them doing a ton of covers on that show.

(21,551 posts)I'd have to watch it again. But I remember reading a comment somewhere that Bowie had done a cover of Nirvana's "The Man Who Sold the World" and I felt compelled to correct them on it.
On the subject of covers, and Cat Stevens, I didn't realize for years that his "Another Saturday Night" was a cover of a 1950s song...
